Customs tariffs and Trump

Customs tariffs and Trump ..

US President Trump announced the freezing of the customs tariffs against Canada and Mexico in exchange for interest in border control and preventing drug smuggling.. But why did the US President not use negotiations and political methods secretly behind closed doors before announcing the customs tariff and then freezing it.

Therefore, people and political observers in the world will think that the US President is using the method of political blackmail. It is one of the legitimate political means, but secretly without announcing it and taking governmental measures to implement the customs tariff. Blackmail may be through threats or intimidation of a specific country by another country. But the US President's innovation is the threat of economic interests so that we have economic blackmail....

The question here is whether Canada and Mexico need to threaten in this announced way to monitor the borders and prevent drug smuggling.

We are facing a decline in the traditional role of governments in the world to monitor the borders and prevent drug smuggling. Therefore, the US President resorted to this method, which is supposed to have embarrassed the governments of both Canada and Mexico. The traditional role of governments is to maintain internal security, care for border security, and not export problems on the borders to neighbors, but it is clear that there is a great shortcoming in this regard, especially on the part of Mexico.

And the customs tariff on China remains, which will raise prices in the American market. To increase inflation rates significantly within America. This is a violation of the Free Trade Agreement. But Trump's policy is to attack to gain more concessions from China in the pending issues between the two sides. Will China do as Canada and Mexico did?

This question will be answered in the coming days. Will the Chinese dragon give in to Trump's tariff? Because the customs tariff will raise the prices of goods, reducing the demand for Chinese products or buying them. Which will push China to reduce production levels as a result of the decrease in demand in the American market.
