Are there solutions to stop the Russian-Ukrainian war?

This war represents a massive drain on the planet's resources. There is no winner, even if Russian forces gain ground by annexing five Ukrainian regions or provinces. Of course, neither Russia nor Ukraine will give up these provinces or regions. Russia claims it is protecting and securing its national security, and Ukraine will of course defend its national territory, and these regions are Ukrainian sovereign. Of course, Russia is spending a lot on this war, and Ukraine is also spending money from the United States before Trump and the European Union. Consequently, we are facing the loss of billions of dollars on the use of military equipment, instead of directing these billions toward developing this planet and its economy, which is suffering from many problems. Instead of solving the problems of the poor on this planet.

...We hope for a Security Council resolution calling for an immediate ceasefire from both sides...and for self-determination elections to be held in the Ukrainian regions annexed by Russia...and for the citizens of these regions to express their desire to join Russia or Ukraine. Thus, the picture becomes clear to everyone: tanks are not the solution. Rather, the ballot box and respect for the wishes of the inhabitants of this planet are.

These elections will be supervised by the United Nations and monitored by Russia, Ukraine, the European Union, and the United States. If Russia wants anything from Ukraine, negotiations with the participation of Europe and America will be the way to achieve these demands. Let the military machine stop, and let military spending stop and be diverted to development for this planet.
